Jukely, your matchmaker for concerts and friends, today released its brand new iOS7 redesign and launched in 10 cities. The new cities are Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Portland, Miami, Las Vegas and Chicago. It also added full track streaming and free concert ticket giveaways as new features.
"Life is way more fun when enjoyed with friends seeing lots of live music. We want to make more of those moments happen; get groups of friends together to see more live shows and build everlasting memories." said the founders Andrew Cornett and Bora Celik.
Jukely has built a powerful social recommendations technology that learns what you're listening to, as well as what your friends are listening to from various sources such as Spotify, Rdio, last.fm, Hype Machine, Soundcloud, iPhone library, as well as Facebook likes and streamed listens. It then matches you with curated upcoming concerts, and friends to go with based on your collective music tastes. It sends you push notifications and emails when it finds good matches for you and your friends. It also gives you the ability to buy tickets right in the app. Jukely makes arrangements with promoters, venues and artists to make free concert tickets and VIP experiences available for its active members.
Jukely, your matchmaker for concerts and friends, has been piloting in New York City since early 2013. It was one of the 11 companies out of 1700 applicants to be accepted into the Techstars NYC accelerator.
Jukely is cofounded by Andrew Cornett and Bora Celik. Celik, a concert promoter for 10 years, put together close to 100 shows including shows with top acts such as Tiesto, Kaskade, and Tommy Lee. Cornett, has been instrumental in building Kickstarter as one of their first employees, most recently designed their iPhone app prior to Jukely.
